When doing a search on the net we all could use a little help. Well, why not ask Ms. Dewey to give you a hand? She's pretty versatile and if asked nicely you'll be amazed at what she's able to find for you. And you thought searching the net was boring?
We all like good food. Possibly our definition of the word 'good' may vary dependant on locality, culture, religion, etc, but the term good or its equivalent is found in every language. Thus, when you are looking for something 'good' to try for your next meal, have a look at the Food Recipes refdesk.com site. Refdesk itself is a conglomeration of links to all manner of resources, and one of those is food recipes. Have a look. It could inspire you.
Most of us are now surrounded by technology of one sort or another. When it works it's wonderful and useful. Some folk take that and go to the next step however, and find ways to make it a part of their lives in different and interesting ways. Thus the MAKE Blog, which says that "MAKE brings the do-it-yourself (DIY) mindset to all the technology in your life" might be just the blog for you to have a look at. It's loaded with new and exciting projects now and who knows? Maybe your own idea will spark the next wave of gadgetry.
Have you ever written any poetry? How about giving it a try and then submitting it to the BushScene Teen Plus Magazine especially if you are a teen. If you have written poetry they will publish it for you online. Now that has to be good. Let's see ... Roses are red, violets are blue ...
I often speak with folk online from various parts of the globe, far distant to Australia. I must admit that I often know little of the area they live in, so to find out more I go to the CIA - The World Factbook and have a browse around. You didn't think the CIA would publish something like this for us all? Think again. It's amazing what they know ... and maybe just a little frightening as well.
Sometimes you need a photo that is just plain cute. And the old addage that if you want attention, photograph children and animals isn't all that far wrong. Therefore, the next time you need a photo of a cute baby animal hop over to the Baby Animals - Home site and have a look. Some of them really are cute. Make sure you check the copyright notice before you use one though.
Ever need to know what time it is in some far distant land? The web site known as TimeTicker and the time tickers... lets you check out the time in any time zone quickly by simply dragging the vertical bar to the time zone you wish on the globe. I've put this one on a link on my own browser as it is useful when I need to know if family and friends are asleep or awake. Enjoy.
Every once in a while there is a need to have some tech question answered, preferably by someone who speaks English rather than techno speak. The next time you have problem of a technological nature, hop over to the Tech Questions Get Answers! - Ask Leo! and see if someone else has already asked the same question. If they haven't, ask away and your question and its answer might help us all. Worth a bookmark.
Do you have a favourite television series that you simply never miss? If you missed one, what would you do to catch up? One thing you could try is a little freeware program called ted torrent episode downloader. This program uses RSS (Real Simple Syndication) and Bittorrent technology to get you the newest episodes as fast is possible. Not only is Ted free, but it is easy to use and works on almost all computers. Enjoy.
I often mention that we are all simply minute specks of dust on this little green orb and I honestly believe that to be true. Indeed to find out more about the other inhabitants on this tiny little planet, hop over to the Welcome to the UN. It's your world. site and browse around. The UN may not be perfect, but it's a start in the right direction. Why not join it yourself and help it to grow.
If you've ever wondered where all the tech news comes from, some of it comes from sites like the InformationWeek News Tech Centre which is there so that journalists can keep up with the latest in almost any technical field. You might benefit from having a look at it yourself.
This coming June I turn the magical age of 66 (much more significant in my eyes than 65) and though I may be just slightly, slightly getting older, I cracked up and compared myself with a few of the things I found on the site named Signs that you are getting old age which contains quotes, weird birthday cards, and quips dealing with age. Anyone who knows me knows I love making jokes about my age, and this list will make that list even bigger. *chuckles* Enjoy.

Rebecca Game of "Digital Women - Women with their modems

If you are looking for links of interest to women, please visit her site. And if you need the best graphic designer on the planet, I seriously can't recommend her more highly.
